Appointment Fees


At Rose Cottage Medical Centre, we provide a range of expert medical services for patients throughout Launceston, with free quotes available for your added convenience. All of our team are fully qualified and accredited and we offer professional treatment for both children and adults, with competitive prices guaranteed.

 

Fees are determined by the time taken or the content of the consultation.  Out of pocket expenses may vary from treatment, investigations, or procedures done at the time of the consultation. Telehealth and phone consultations also incur standard fess as listed below.


Please advise at least 24 hours before your appointment if you are unable to attend. Failure to attend or cancel may result in a fee. This is not refundable against Medicare. Payment is required on the day and can be paid by cash, cheque or EFTPOS.

GP Consultations

Level A:   Less than six minutes:          $50              (Medicare rebate $18.85)

Level B:   6-20 minutes:                          $94               (Medicare rebate $41.20)

Level C:   20 - 40 minutes:                      $150             (Medicare rebate $79.70)

Level D:   40+ minutes:                            $220            (Medicare rebate $117.40)

Allergy Consultations

  • Less than 20 airborne allergens:     $77          (Medicare rebate $36.30)
  •  More than 20 airborne allergens:   $97          (Medicare rebate $36.30)
  • Re-Test for airborne allergens within a 12 month period: $72                                       (Medicare rebate $36.30)

  • Less than 15 food based allergens:   $77         (Medicare rebate $36.30)
  • More than 15 food based allergens: $97         (Medicare rebate $36.30)
  • Medications / drugs:                               $110       (Medicare rebate $54.85)

 

NB: A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at time of booking. This will be taken off the total price on the day of appointment.


Above Skin Prick Testing fees are additional to applicable consultation fee. All allergy appointments with an Allergy Doctor, attract an extra $60 on the consultation fee, 


(eg. initial allergy testing is a Level D consult + $60 + applicable Skin Prick Testing). 


If you are tested for a combination of allergen categories (eg. food and airborne), both rates may apply.

  • Initial Consultation: $293                          (Medicare rebate $142.60)
  • Review Consultation: $210                        (Medicare rebate $67.80)

  • Complex Initial Consultation:     $390    (Medicare rebate $249.40)
  • Complex Review Consultation:   $252    (Medicare rebate $124.90)

  • Skin Prick Testing:                            $97.00      (Medicare rebate $36.30)

Associate Professor Paul Cameron's allergy testing appointments will involve both a specialist consult fee and skin prick testing fee.
